A typical New Orleans Big Band in the s with excellent musicians in top form: Milton Batiste, Rickie Monie, Eneal Wimberley, Roger Lewis, Fred Kemp, etc. Big Al does not really get round to singing the blues in the traditional way until halfway through the disc, but the Magnificent Sevenths are magnificent from the start.4/5(1).

Jamie W. and I stumbled upon this place just because we could see the band play as we were strolling by. This place also has the misplaced marketing notion of having a name 3/5(1).
